How to Move Recordings from Zoom to YuJa

Overview

Zoom recordings are deleted in 120 days. If you desire to keep recordings longer, you can upload them to YuJa, which has unlimited storage and no time limits. Follow these steps.

Step by Step Guide

1.  Find your Zoom recordings by logging into blinn-edu.zoom.us. From there, choose “Sign In, Configure Your Account.”

2.  Click “Recordings” on the left menu to find your recordings.

3.  Most of the recordings will offer two or three files. In this case, click the link that says 3 Files:

4.  In this instance, the three files are the screen and audio, audio only, and written transcript. The one you’ll want to save is the screen and audio file. It is labeled “Shared screen with speaker view.”

5.  Hover over it and click the download button that appears to the right. It looks like a down arrow.

6.  Find the downloaded file. If in Chrome, you’ll see the download in bottom left of the browser. It will be an MP4 file.

7.  You can also find it in your downloads folder in the C Drive.

8.  Now login to YuJa at blinn.yuja.com. Click Manage Media to go to the top of your folder tree, then click the “Upload” button on left.

9.  Under the Add Media window, you’ll want to upload a video. Click the “Browse” button.

10. Find your video. Remember, if you didn’t move it, it’s probably in Downloads.

11. Highlight the video and click “Open.”

12.  Back at the Add Media window in YuJa, click “Start Upload.”

13.  YuJa will take a while to process the video. It will notify you of the status via email.

14.  Once the video is in YuJa you can choose “More” to change the title. You will need to publish it to your class so that students can see it. Hover over the video icon in YuJa and select “Publish” to do so.
