Overview
No download is required to simply view video content on YuJa, but before recording a video with YuJa for the first time, you must download and install the YuJa Software Capture application for Mac/PC. Many features, including recording, are also available on the mobile app for phone/tablet. To create a recording with YuJa, you must use the Software Capture application. It's a one-time download, so you won’t need to repeat the installation process for your next recording. Please see YuJa's support page for more information about the system requirements.
Step by Step Guide
- Go to eCampus and open any course.
- Click on the Yuja icon.
- Navigate to the "Create Recording" option. On your YuJa homepage, click the Create Recording button, typically found at the top of the screen.
- Click the "Download" link. A new window or pop-up will appear. Click the Download link to get the desktop application installer for your Mac.
- Alternatively, you can sometimes find the installer by going to your profile or "My Account" settings within YuJa.
- Open the downloaded file. The installer will be saved to your Downloads folder. Locate and double-click the file to start the installation.
- Follow the installation prompts. Complete the installation by following the on-screen instructions. You may need to enter your computer's password to proceed.
- Launch the application. Once installed, open the YuJa Software Capture application. It may launch automatically, or you can find it in your Applications folder or via Spotlight Search.
- Log in to the app. When prompted, select your institution from the menu and log in with your credentials to authenticate your account.
- Grant system permissions. On newer versions of macOS, you will be asked to grant the application access to your camera, microphone, and for screen recording. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and enable the permissions for YuJa.
