Create a Recording

Overview

To create a YuJa recording, you can either use the desktop Software Capture application for more features or the Browser Capture Studio for quick recordings. For either option, you must first log in to your institution's YuJa platform. 

Step by Step Guide

Record with YuJa Software Capture

This method offers the most control over your recording settings. You must download and install the application for your Windows PC or Mac before your first use. 

1. Access YuJa and start the capture. Go to eCampus and open any course.  Click on the Yuja icon.
2. Click Create Recording at the top of the page.
3. Select Software Capture for PC or Mac from the drop-down menu and click Start.
4. Configure your recording. A new window will appear with options to set up your recording.

• Title: Enter a name for your recording.
• Video: Select your webcam or other video sources. You can record up to two video sources simultaneously.
• Audio: Choose your microphone and ensure the audio meter is active when you speak.
• Screen: Enable screen recording and specify whether to capture your entire screen or a selected area.
• Folder: (Optional) Click the folder icon to select a specific location in your media library to save your video.

5. Start and finish the recording.

• Click Start to begin. A countdown will appear.
• A small toolbar will be available in the corner of your screen, with options to Pause or Finish.
• When you are done, click the Finish button on the toolbar. A window will pop up to either Save or Delete your recording.

6. Review and manage your video. After saving, your video will be uploaded and processed. You will receive an email notification when it is ready. You can find it in your YuJa Media Library for editing or sharing. 

Record with the YuJa Mobile App

1. Download and log in. Install the "YuJa Video" app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and sign in.

2. Start a new recording. Tap the + button and select Record Content.

3. Choose your format. Select between Video or Audio recording and adjust the camera and video quality if needed.

4. Record and upload.

• Press the red button to start and stop the recording.
• When finished, you can save the recording. It will be uploaded to your Media Library.
