Service Description
Temporary admin rights are elevated user permissions granted for a limited time, allowing users to perform administrative tasks like installing software or changing system settings without permanently having full control. This approach enhances security by reducing the risk associated with permanent administrative access.
How It Works
Time-limited access: Rights are granted for a specific duration, such as 30 minutes, and automatically expire afterward.
On-demand activation: Users must request the temporary elevation.
Revocation: After the allotted time, the administrative privileges are removed, returning the user to their standard account status.
Auditable trail: The process is logged, making it easier for security and IT teams to track who was granted access, when, and why.
Common Uses
Software installation: Allows users to install applications that require administrative privileges.
System updates: Enables users to install necessary updates that modify system files.
Troubleshooting: Provides access to system files and settings for diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
