Service Description


SharePoint is a web-based, Microsoft-developed platform for document management, collaboration, and creating corporate intranets. It provides a centralized and secure space for teams to share files, work on documents together, and organize information through customizable sites for different departments or projects. 

Key features and uses

  • Document Management: Provides a central repository to store, organize, and manage documents, with version control to track changes. 
  • Collaboration:  Enables multiple people to work on the same document simultaneously and collaborate on projects through team sites. 
  • Intranet and Communication:  Allows organizations to build their own internal websites, or intranets, to share company news, resources, and announcements. 
  •  Business Process Management:  Can be used to automate business processes and manage tasks and lists through features like workflows.
  • Secure Sharing: Facilitates secure sharing of information both internally and with external partners, depending on how it is configured. 
  • Integration: Integrates deeply with other Microsoft 365 products like Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel. 

Request Service for a new SharePoint site. Please provide the SharePoint to be added, usage/purpose, users requiring access, and an expected/desired date of completion.
