One Drive Issue

Support Description

Report difficulty configuring or accessing O365 One Drive.  Please provide a detailed description of the problem.

Syncing issues

  • Icon missing: The OneDrive icon can disappear from the taskbar if the application isn't running or is hidden due to a crowded taskbar.

  • Syncing paused or not working: This can be caused by network problems, an outdated syncing app, or settings like the "Manage Backup" feature.

  • File conflicts and duplicates: Occur when multiple users edit a file simultaneously or if there are network interruptions.

  • Sync errors: Various error codes or messages can appear, often related to network connectivity, file names, or syncing specific folders.

File and storage problems

  • Files missing or deleted: Files can be accidentally deleted, removed by retention policies, or lost due to ransomware attacks.

  • File corruption: OneDrive can sometimes corrupt files, particularly during sync conflicts, leading to duplicate versions.
