VDI Issue

Support Description

VDI issues are common problems users and IT teams face when using Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). VDI works by hosting a user's computer desktop on a central server (in a data center or the cloud) and streaming it to their device, rather than running it locally.

For a user, VDI issues typically feel like using a slow or unreliable computer.

  • Lag and slow performance: Actions like typing, opening applications, or navigating the desktop are delayed. This is often due to network latency or not having enough computing power (CPU, memory) on the server side.
  • Dropped connections: The virtual desktop suddenly freezes or disconnects, often due to unstable network connectivity.
  • Login problems: Frustrating or failed attempts to log in to the virtual desktop.
  • Multimedia problems: Jerky video, audio dropouts, or poor performance with graphics-intensive applications.
  • Missing files or settings: In certain VDI setups, user customizations or saved files may not persist between sessions, leading to confusion and data loss.

Report an issue with VDI access and provide a detailed description of problem.
