Service Description
Remote app access (or RemoteApp) is a technology that lets you use a software program that is actually installed on a different, powerful computer (a server) somewhere else—like at your office or in a data center—as if it were running directly on your own device.
- You don't need the actual program installed locally: The application runs entirely on a powerful remote server, which handles all the processing.
- It looks and feels local: The program appears in its own window on your screen, integrates with your local start menu or desktop, and allows you to open and save files on your local drives just like any other application you use every day.
- Only screen changes are sent: Instead of running the entire application on your device, only your keyboard presses, mouse clicks, and the resulting screen updates are sent back and forth over the internet. This is efficient and works well even with limited internet bandwidth.
Request Service for a new remote application. Please provide the exact location of the install, purpose and expected usage.
