Overview
If you attempt to use the scanner for the first time, you may get an error message that you are not registered in the Address Book. If you receive this error message, please follow these steps:
Step by Step Guide
1. Log into the Copier using your Blinn Username (firstname.lastname) and Blinn Password (case sensitive)
2. Select More Device Functions
3. On the Main screen, find the icon labeled Address Book and select it
Note – On some copiers the Address Book icon is on the main screen, on other copiers it may be on an adjacent screen. To move between screens, swipe left (or swipe right).
4. The Address Book will open and you should see your name listed. Highlight your name by touching it, then select the Edit button located on the right
5. Select the Destination Tab
6. For Email, enter your Blinn email address, check for spelling and select OK, select OK again
7. Select Exit
8. You should now be back at the Main screen, select the icon marked Scanner (or icon called Scanner (Classic)). Ensure Destination is Scan to Email
9. In the To: field, find your name in the address book, select it to populate the To: field with your email
10. Select the Scan button and follow directions on the screen to complete your scan
11. You should receive the email of your scan in approximately 5 minutes (larger scans or scans containing detailed images may take longer to process)
12. If you’ve already registered your email in the Address Book, then for subsequent scans just log into the copier and from the Home screen select Scanner (or Scanner (Classic)), select your name/email in the directory and click the Scan button.
Note – As an alternative, you can also use the Print/Scan to USB feature. Insert a thumb drive into the USB port located on the left side of the touchpad, login, select Print/Scan to USB, and follow the instructions on the screen.
