Teams FAQ
Q: How do I use Teams to make phone calls?
A: Please see our instructional handout on using the Teams phone system.
Q: Is Teams replacing Zoom?
A: Not at this time. Teams is only replacing Skype for Business as phone-control and chat software in the district. Zoom is still the classroom software integrated with D2L.
Q: Do we have training for Teams?
A: Yes. Mini-sessions with Q&A opportunities are usually held on Fridays at 10:00 am via Zoom. Please check CTL Happenings for the link. In addition, we have access to the Teams Essential Training video course in LinkedIn, and several instructional handouts on this site.
Q: What do I do when I get my new phone?
A: Follow these instructions, which were left on your desk.
Q: I'm on a shared computer in an office with other faculty, such as Schwartz 330 or the B Building. The USB phones don't seem to work.
A: USB phones are different from Teams phones, with no touch screen. They also handle phone calls different on shared computers. See our handout for more info.
