Overview
If your Polycom CX300 USB phone is not working properly, please try a phone reset first as this resolves most of the phone's known issues.
Step by Step Guide
1. Locate the cables on the back of the phone. Unplug the cable from the LAN port, the phone should lose all power. Wait 15 seconds.

2. Plug the cable back into the LAN port and within 3 SECONDS, simultaneously press and continue to hold down the * and # keys.

3. Once you see the message asking if you want to continue, release the * and # keys and select Yes.

4. The phone will continue to reboot and eventually display an animated hand pressing the round button with a dot in its center.

5. Press the round button with the dot in its center. You will be prompted for your preferred language, select English and press the round button with a dot in its center again.

6. Press the Back or Backspace button on the telephone until you see the message “USB connection is detected”.

7. Next, look for a Skype for Business dialog window open on your computer requesting credentials needed for the phone.
NOTE: be sure change the User name: field to your full email address, which should match the Sign-in address: above it. Complete by entering in your Blinn network password (same one used to sign into computer) and click OK. Now, look at your telephone.

8. On the telephone, if your credentials are accepted, you are prompted to create a phone unlock PIN. You are creating this so it can be any 6-digit number you like. After entering in the PIN, press the button below the word on the phone. It will ask you to enter the new PIN once again, then press Done.
This PIN is only needed to access features on the phone when you aren’t signed into Skype for Business on your computer. Once signed in, the phone unlocks automatically.

9. The phone should now display your name and assigned telephone number and play a dial tone when the receiver is picked up or the speaker phone is activated.
