Overview
Blinn College District uses multi-factor authentication for accessing online assets. This provides an added layer of security protecting both you and our information resources. You will need to enroll an external device through which you can receive a push notification or passcode for multi-factor authentication purposes. Please follow these steps.
Step by Step Guide
1. Click on the link emailed to you through the enrollment process.

2. On the screen that opens in your browser, click the “Start setup” button. Click it immediately or you will get a message saying your session has expired and you will need to start over.

3. Choose the type of device to send multi-factor authentication codes to. Your mobile phone is recommended. Then click “Continue.”

4. Enter your phone number. Put the area code in parenthesis and check the box indicating it is the correct number before the “Continue” button will turn green. Then click “Continue.”

5. Indicate the type of phone on the next screen, then click “Continue.”

6. Install the app for your phone then click “I have Duo Mobile installed” when ready.

7. Scan the QR code on your screen with your phone using the Duo Mobile app. You will need to allow the app to take pictures and record videos. Alternatively, you can have a code emailed to you, but this is easier.

8. As soon as the app sees the QR code, it will register the device and display a six-digit passcode. Also, your computer screen will show a check mark on the QR code and you will see the “Continue” button activated. Click the “Continue” button.

9. Next click the down arrow button and select “Automatically send this device a Duo Push,” then click “Finish Enrollment.”

10. Upon successful enrollment, a push notification will be sent to your device's Duo App when you login to a Blinn application. Alternatively, if you didn’t choose push, a six-digit access code will be sent. Once the code is entered, you will be able to access the resource.
