To set the popup blocker in Microsoft Edge, open Settings, go to Cookies and site permissions, select Pop-ups and redirects, and then toggle the Block switch to the desired position (on to block, off to allow). You can also add specific websites to an "Allow" list to permit pop-ups from those sites, even if the main blocker is enabled.
Step by Step Guide
1. Open Settings: Click the Settings and more menu (the three dots, or ellipsis) in the top-right corner of the Edge browser, then select Settings.
2. Navigate to Permissions: In the Settings menu, select Cookies and site permissions from the left-hand pane.
3. Find Pop-ups and Redirects: In the center pane, scroll down to find All permissions and then select Pop-ups and redirects.
4. Adjust the Blocker:
- To Block Pop-ups: Turn the Block (recommended) toggle switch on.
- To Allow Pop-ups: Turn the Block toggle switch off.
5. Manage Exceptions: To allow pop-ups from a specific website, click the Add button next to the "Allow" section and enter the website's address.
