Overview
To clear Chrome's cache, click the three-dot menu in the top-right, then select More tools > Clear browsing data. In the dialog box, choose your desired Time range, check the box for "Cached images and files," and then click Clear data.
Step by Step Guide
Method 1: Using a keyboard shortcut
- On a Windows or Linux computer, press Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
- On a Mac, press Command + Shift + Delete.
- A "Clear browsing data" dialog box will appear. You can then choose your desired options and click Clear data.
Method 2: From the Chrome menu
- Open Chrome on your computer.
- Click the More icon (the three vertical dots) in the top-right corner of the window.
- Go to More tools > Clear browsing data.
In the "Clear browsing data" dialog box
- Select Advanced.
- Choose a time range: For the most thorough cleaning, choose All time.
- Select data to clear:
- Check every box EXCEPT for passwords and other sign-in data
- Select Delete data.
- Confirm and restart: Click Clear data. For changes to take effect, it's recommended to close and reopen Chrome.
