Forget (delete) a WiFi Network profile in Windows 10
1. Click the Network icon on the lower right corner of your screen Click Network & Internet Settings.
2. Navigate to the Wi-Fi tab.
3. Click Manage known networks.
4. Click on each Blinn network listed one at a time.
5. Click Forget.
Setting up WPA (802.1x authentication) for Windows 10
1. From the desktop, right-click on the wireless icon on the bottom right corner of your desktop. Select Open Network and Sharing Center.
2. In the Network and Sharing Center, select Setup a new connection or network.
3. Select Manually connect to a new network.
4. Enter the information for the Blinn wireless network as shown below and click Next.
- Network Name: BlinnStaff
- Security Type: WPA2-Enterprise
- Encryption Type: AES
5. Click the Change connection settings box. Click on the Security Tab on the top of the window.
6. Change the Choose a network authentication method to be Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP) and choose Settings.
7. Uncheck the Validate server certificate box and click Configure.
8. Uncheck the Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any) box, and click OK.
9. Click OK again.
10. Click the Advanced Settings button.
11. On the 802.1x settings tab check the Specify authentication mode and set the mode to User Authentication.
12. Click Save Credentials
13. Enter your Blinn College Username and password.
14. Click OK to get back to the following screen. Click OK again.
15. Click OK one more time
16. You should now be at the Change Connection Settings screen … STOP … Wait …
17. Check your connection. You should now be connected to Blinn Wireless. Once connected, you can close the above window.
