Problem

User cannot log in to my.blinn.edu.  Device attempts login but goes to a plain white page and never fully loads the myBlinn portal.

Resolution

Always make sure you are typing in my.blinn.edu and not navigating from a link or saved bookmark.  Please give the following a try and see if this resolves your login issues.

1. Try incognito mode on either Chrome or Edge (Ctrl-Shift-N).  If this works, then a rogue extension is interfering with your logins.

This is the standard way to turn off one or more specific extensions without removing them.

  • Open Chrome and navigate to the Extensions page by typing chrome://extensions/ in your address bar and pressing Enter. You can also find it through the menu: click the three vertical dots (More menu) in the top-right corner, select Extensions, then Manage Extensions.
  • On the Extensions page, you will see a list of all your installed extensions.
  • Click the blue toggle switch on the bottom-right of the extension's tile to turn it off. The switch will turn gray to indicate the extension is disabled.
  • To re-enable it later, simply flip the switch back on.
  • Open Microsoft Edge and navigate to the extensions page by typing edge://extensions into the address bar and pressing Enter. Alternatively, click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, then go to Extensions > Manage extensions.
  • On the Installed extensions page, find the extension you want to disable.
  • Toggle the switch next to the extension to the "Off" position. The switch will turn gray.

 2. Reset Chrome or Edge

Open Google Chrome.

  • Click: the three vertical dots (More) icon in the top-right corner of the browser window.
  • Select: "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
  • In the Settings menu, find and click on "Reset settings".
  • Click on "Restore settings to their original defaults".
  • Click: "Reset settings" again to confirm the action.

Open Microsoft Edge.

  • Click the three-dot icon (•••) in the top-right corner of the browser.
  • Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
  • In the Settings menu on the left, click on Reset settings.
  • Click Restore settings to their default values.
  • A confirmation pop-up will appear; click Reset to finalize the reset.

3. Install the Brave Browser
