Overview
Rebooting a classroom camera is a standard troubleshooting step used to resolve various issues, most commonly related to connectivity, performance, and general software glitches.
Problem
If the classroom camera freezes or if you see a “No Signal” message, or you see a rainbow test pattern, then rebooting can often recover the camera and get it working again. Follow these steps.
Resolution
Using the Aver remote on your lectern, point the remote at the camera then press and hold the button circled in graphic at right for 5-7 seconds until the blue light on the camera starts blinking red. Wait until the blinking light turns solid red and you get a message on your monitor telling you there is no signal.
Continue pointing the remote at the camera. Push and hold the circled button again for an additional 5-7 seconds until the red light on the camera starts blinking blue. The camera will begin to turn back on and will start to move around. After a few seconds, the image from the camera will appear but will then briefly disappear before reappearing once again. At this point the camera is operational again and should be fully functional.
