Step by Step Guide

Start Up Instructions

1.       Touch the screen to start up the in-class camera system.

2.       Sign into eCampus first and click into your scheduled Zoom classroom meeting.

3.       Video settings must be on appropriate camera or you will get a test pattern. Choose the SDI camera option.

4.       Choose the Shure microphone so that students can hear you. Select the speaker marked “PT.”

Camera Controls

From the Control Pad, you can adjust the classroom camera presets. The height of the main camera can be adjusted for tracking from a seated position (Camera Profile 1) to a tall person (Camera Profile 4). The segmented presets can show the professor at the podium, a wide shot including the podium, the room, or portions of the whiteboard in front of the room.

Please note:

  • Classroom computers cannot record Zoom meetings locally. All Zoom meetings from classroom computers need to be recorded in the cloud via Zoom and/or YuJa.
  • Close all apps that use the camera and microphone before beginning Zoom meetings.
  • To share online videos in Zoom, after clicking Share Screen, be sure and check “Share Computer Sound” and “Optimize Screen Sharing for Video Clip.”

  • Wear solid colors for best appearance. Speak clearly, allow pauses for responses. Speak toward the camera. Speak at a normal or slightly slower pace. Remember your online participants and check on them every few minutes.
