Autodiscover Message

Summary

This article provides guidance on how to respond to an autodiscover message in Outlook.

Body

Overview

The Outlook audtodiscover message is a security warning that appears when Outlook is redirected to a new website to configure server settings, often during an HTTP to HTTPS redirect.

Problem

User keeps getting pop-up from Outlook:

Allow this website to configure "blinn email address" server settings?

https: //exchange.blinn.edu/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

Resolution

This redirects the rss feed when the original location has changed so that all subscribers can access the new information.

It may also apply to Calendars.

Check to the box "Do not ask me this again".   Select "Allow".
