Overview
For students that require special time accommodation on all eCampus Quizzes in a course, it is possible to set a special Accommodation setting. This setting allows an instructor to either multiply the student's time by a specific number or add a specific amount of time to all quizzes that a student takes. If you wish to only adjust settings for a specific quiz, then follow the instructions in the How To Add Special Access Settings To A Quiz knowledge article.
How to Edit Accommodations for a Student in an eCampus Course
You can edit the Accommodation setting by:
- Access your course in eCampus
- Click Progress in the blue navigation bar
- Select Classlist from the drop down menu
- Find the student who's Accommodation setting you wish to edit
- click the 'v' next to the student's name
- Select Edit Accommodations from the drop down menu
- Check the Modify Time Limit box
- Select either the Multiplier of original quiz time or Extra time radio option
- The Multiplier of original quiz time option will take the default quiz time and multiply it by the number entered. For example, if you enter 1.5 in the text field for this option, a quiz with a 10 minute time limit will have a 15 minute time limit for the student selected in step 4.
- The Extra time option will add a set amount of time to the default quiz time limit. For example, if you enter 5 minutes in the text field for this option, a quiz with a time limit of 5 minutes will have a 10 minute time limit for the student selected in step 4.
- Enter an appropriate number for the student's accommodation in the text field of the option you selected in step 8
- Click the blue Save button
Once you have completed these steps, all quizzes in this eCampus course taken by the student selected in step 4 will have their time limit modified based on the options you selected. A gear icon will appear next to the student name in the classlist to indicate that Accommodation setting has been edited for the student.
