How to Delete a Grade Item or Category from an eCampus Gradebook

Overview

Grade Items and Categories are the building blocks of a Gradebook in eCampus. Both can be deleted by following the same general instructions below.

How to Delete a Grade Item

Access your eCampus course and follow these directions:

1. Click Progress from the blue navigation bar that runs along the top of your course
2. Select Grades from the drop down menu
3. Click the Manage Grades tab
4. Click the More Actions button
5. Select Delete from the dropdown menu
6. Check the check boxes next to any Grade Items or Catagories you wish to delete
   • If a check box for Grade Item is 'Greyed Out' and cannot be checked, then that Grade Item has been associated with an activity in the course. This association will need to be broken before you can delete the Grade Item. Please visit the article How To Delete Connected Assignment Grade Items from the eCampus Gradebook to lean how.
7. Click the Delete button at the bottom of the page
8. Click the Delete button in the confirmation window

After following this process the selected Grade Items and Categories will be removed from your Gradebook. If a grade item is accidentally deleted you can restore the item by following the instructions here.
