Guest Wireless on a Chromebook

BlinnGuest is the wireless network for guests to access on all campuses. Blinn College uses WPA2 Enterprise (Wi-Fi Protected Access) for authentication and encryption.

To configure your Chromebook to connect to BlinnGuest:

1. On the taskbar, click the wireless indicator icon next to the clock.

2. In the menu that appears, click in the network row (you will either see a network indicator icon, or the words "No network" on that row).

3. Select BlinnGuest from the list.

4. The "Join WI-FI network" dialog box will appear. Click Connect.

OR

Settings → +Add Connection  → Add Wifi → Advanced

Or

Settings → +Add Connection

Use the following settings:

  1. SSI:  BlinnGuest
  2. Security:  EAP
  3. EAP Method: PEAP
  4. Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPv2
  5. CA Certificate: unspecified or do not check
  6. User Certificate: unspecified or do not check
  7. Identity:  the supplied guest username (ex:  FallVisitors@buc.blinn.edu)
  8. Anonymous Identity: leave it blank
  9. Password: the supplied guest password

*Sometimes you are required to enter a domain name. If so, use blinn.edu
