How to Connect to Eduroam

Blinn College has joined the eduroam community of educational institutions. Eduroam is an international roaming service allowing faculty, administration and students easy and secure access to wireless networks across the US and in 84 countries.

The service allows you to use your Blinn credentials (email address and password) to connect to the eduroam network wherever it is present.

A map of participating US intuitions is found at https://www.eduroam.us/institutions. This will allow you to connect to the wireless network at TAMU without having to get a guest account and vice versa TAMU employees and students can access the Wi-Fi at Blinn using their TAMU credentials. The same applies for other participating institutions.

You will see eduroam (always lower case) listed in available networks on your device. Select it and enter your Blinn email address and password when prompted.

It is possible for someone to try and spoof the eduroam network to try and steal your password so be sure you would expect to see the eduroam network because of your location and you see the Blinn RADIUS server confirmation when joining the network (attached example for IOS devices).

The network is treated as an outside network therefore you will not be able to access some resources considered internal like Banner INB, network drives and printers. When on the Blinn campus you should connect to the BlinnStaff network.
