Issue
My eCampus email inbox says I have unread emails, but it does not show them.
Troubleshooting
When you open your eCampus email account in a class, the inbox is filtered to show you only emails from that class, so when you see unread emails that do not show up in your email, most likely you have emails in another class or just in your general email account. Here is how to fix it:
Method 1: Unfilter your course email inbox.
- In the inbox, directly under the Compose button, there is a dropdown menu called Filter By:
- Clicking the menu and choosing All Messages will show you every email in your eCampus account, including the unread ones.
- Make note of the filter setting before changing it, in case you want to change it back. If you didn’t do that, choose the first instance your course is listed on the menu – not the second. The second one does not filter properly.
Method 2: Enter your email inbox from the My Home screen.
- Click the Blinn College District logo link in the top-left corner of the eCampus page to go to your eCampus homepage.
- Click the My Tools dropdown menu. Choose Email.
- This version of your eCampus inbox is automatically set to show all messages. You should be able to see your unread messages.
Additional Information
All dropbox receipts automatically go to your unfiltered inbox. If you need to find a dropbox receipt, use Method 2 above to find it.
